This genetic condition causes some hair follicles to be susceptible to bonding by the hormone metabolite DHT or dihydrotestosterone. The DHT bonds at receptors on the follicle and slowly cause them to stop functioning. The Minoxidil inhibits the DHT from bonding with the receptor thus allowing the hair to continue to grow.

The price for shipping and handling is “Undefined” according to their web site. This means you are entering into an agreement which you don’t know the cost of.

The way it works is you purchase a 30 day supply for no charge except for the elusive shipping and handling charge. Then every 30 days you can order another supply and again just pay shipping and handling. They claim to not do auto-shipping but you never know for sure.

Baldness is a major problem in this society that worships youth. Hair loss has always been thought of a sign of aging and it really is. About 40 percent of men in their mid 30’s will show some level of balding and by age 60 nearly 65% of the men will. So it does seem to be associated with aging. If you are losing your hair on the crown or top of the head then Minoxidil does seem to have some positive affect for the majority of men. It does not treat the front of the head, though, so if you are having a problem with a receding hair line then it really won’t do anything for that. Their website is very good at offering ways to buy the product but all the links to more information are not active. Therefore, I have not been able to tell what other ingredients may be present. In products such as Rogaine, a 5% Minoxidil mixture is usually used when treating men and 2% for women. This seems to be the most effective levels.

It would be nice to have more information about this product in order to make a comparison of it versus other hair loss products. Unfortunately, the owners of their web site have decided to not give out that information. I will report back here when I have been able to determine more specifics about Hairisol.
